Montessori classroom embracing a forest school and sustainability focused curriculum

Our Curriculum Pillars

Maria Montessori was a pioneer in childcare. For those not familiar with her work, here’s the deal on how we bring her method to life in our nursery.

We inspire children to explore their natural curiosity and love for the outdoors with weekly forest school adventures. Our engaging, seasonally-themed curriculum helps them discover the wonders of nature, igniting a lifelong appreciation for the world around them.

At Woodland Wanderers, we believe in nurturing both young minds and our planet. By examining and reducing our ecological footprints, we set the stage for sustainable habits in early childhood education.

Community

Our community is central to who we are and our children are a key part of that. We want to help our children share the joy of our outward-facing ethos and our appreciation of different cultures and languages.

Wondering what the tree
in our logo is all about?

WThe Baobab tree inspires our logo. It reflects what we aim to be as a nursery: nourishing, bountiful and resourceful. Every part of this remarkable tree can be used, aligning with our minimal-waste ethos. Its spirit feels woven into the heart of the Woodland Wanderers family.

What our parents say about us...

"Our daughter had a wonderful, nurturing experience at Woodland Wanderers. The setting is calm and light, with lots of wonderful Montessori materials. She spent time outside in nature as part of forest school and we loved the fact that she had this experience as part of her day. The staff are kind, attentive and loving, we would definitely recommend this setting."
